These times have been hard and stressful for everyone. And as we all know, stress can lead to a lot of health problems, the most evident sign showing up in our skin in the form of whiteheads, pimples or acne. For me, my main skin problems are whiteheads. They are everywhere – in my nose and my back. It seems popping them just worsens it as it leaves tiny scars on my skin. 

Whiteheads may seem harmless and less bothersome than pimples, but it’s actually a sign that your skin is purging out an infection or bacteria. This type of blemish can appear anywhere on the body – the face, back and chest. It’s a type of acne wherein a pore gets clogged with sebum, dead skin cells and debris and is covered with a thin layer of skin. 

So what can we do to remove whiteheads? 

 

Here are some useful tips I’ve practiced myself to help get rid of them.

 

1. Wash and clean your face regularly. It’s the most basic of personal hygiene, but it goes a long way in preventing break-outs and other skin problems. With all the beauty products and make-up we put on our face, it opens up our pores to more clogging and sooner or later, more whiteheads. Use gentle products to cleanse your face and make sure to remove all makeup before going to sleep.

 

2. Do not, I repeat, do not ever pop your whiteheads. As I’ve said this earlier, I was guilty of this and it has left some tiny scars on my skin. While it’s oh-so-tempting to remove those tiny white dirt, remember that you’re just opening up your pores to more infections. 

 

3. Make sure to keep your things always clean, especially those that are always in close contact to your face and skin (make-up, clothes, cellphones, pillowcases, blankets, etc). They may be hiding dirt and bacteria which can transfer on to your skin.

 

4.     If all else fails, use an anti-acne medication. Lactezin was introduced to me, as it is said to help treat and prevent acne, contains Zinc which helps reduce skin oiliness and minimize pores as well, with results showing as early two weeks of use, twice daily.

Lactoferrin + d-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate + Zinc (Lactezin) has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and oil-regulating ingredients that can help lessen skin oiliness and reduce acne lesions.

McDonald’s Philippines is getting ready to light it up like dynamite as it prepares for the local launch of The BTS Meal on June 18!

 

Through the BTS Meal, customers will get to enjoy the favorite McDonald’s order of 21st century global pop icon BTS. The meal includes 10-piece Chicken McNuggets®, medium World Famous Fries®, medium Coca-Cola, and Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces inspired by popular recipes from McDonald’s South Korea.

 

As customers and crew members alike are excitedly awaiting the Philippine launch, McDonald’s started an internal contest for McDonald’s employees to show off their love and excitement for the BTS Meal through a TikTok dance challenge.

 

Open to all 665 McDonald’s stores in the country, restaurant employees were invited to form a group of at least seven members, which can include anyone working at the restaurant—crew, manager, barista, delivery riders, and security guards--and create a TikTok video dancing to any BTS song of their choice. To make it more exciting, the seven best entries that show off the best dance moves that are smooth like butter will win exciting prizes from the company!
