Experience “Santorini of Asia” in La Union Soon!
The famous Santorini in Greece is one
of my dream destinations because of its breath-taking beauty and picturesque
perfection. The view of the sky kissing the sea from the exceptional mainland
parallel to the horizon will never fail to captivate my heart. I am deeply
honored and grateful to have witnessed this scenery last June 17. Dreams do
come true indeed!
No, I didn’t have to fly to Greece to
have this life-goal of mine checked from my bucket list. I was invited at a
groundbreaking ceremony in San Fernando, La Union. Thunderbird Resort and
Casinos Poro Point promises to be the prime tourist spot in the North.
“Santorini of Asia”, the future of Thunderbird
Poro Point, pushes the hospitality standards to the highest possible level by
recently adding 47 Mediterranean-inspired villas to accommodate the growing
number of resort guests. By September this year, there will be a total 200
luxurious holiday homes that will give every visitor the complete Santorini
experience.
The event was joined
by important personalities that will make this vision tangible - Engr.Renie
Soriano;Mr. Angel Sueiro (COO of Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos); PPMC
Chairman Yves Q. Nisce; Ms. Allee Lourdes Sun (President and Chairman of
Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos); La Union Vice Governor Augusto Aureo Nisce,
PPMC President Florante Gerdan, DOT RO1 Director Martin L. Valera; Mr. Mario
Vincent Lanuza (General Manager of Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos);
Architect Alvin Seneca; Interior Designer Alvin Ayong; Engr. Joseph Batuac; and
Engr. Eric Senica.
To add, there are a throng of restaurants for a unique gastronomical adventure such as the newly opened Deli Pianosa Café and the Asian-Mediterranean-themed Ouzo Restaurant in the resort's casino.

The
10-year old Thunderbird Resort and Casinos will boast world class facilities
and recreation amenities like semi-Olympic pool, driving range, tennis and
basketball courts, and exquisite gardens, making it a full-fledged 5-star
resort hotel. The resort, which is characterized by Greece-inspired white and
blue domes, is impeccably situated on the Poro Point Peninsula, the panoramic
West Philippine Sea serves as the picture-perfect background.
“Santorini
of Asia” will be pronounced in a series of events in the next few months. Watch
out for my blog post about my wonderfully over-the-top hotel experience.
What do you think of Santorini of Asia? Have you been here?
