It is my sole duty to make sure that my children make the most out of their lives. I want to keep them healthy to be able to keep up with the world. I encourage them to go to school every day because I believe that a missed school day is considered a missed opportunity. Unfortunately, according to the World Health Organization, children around the world miss an estimated 443 million school days each year because of diseases caused by poor sanitation and hygiene practices, including using unsanitary toilets. This is equivalent to all grade school and high school in our country being absent for a month. Can you imagine all the lessons and opportunity this kind of sickness stole from the youth?
This is a serious matter that I am glad DOMEX together with UNICEF & PPHA took time and made action in regards to.
Dr. Luisa Efren of the Philippine Public Health Association (PPHA) said that, "the simple act of proper toilet sanitation can help prevent the spread of these germs. However, children continue to be at risk from these deadly disease because many households still use ordinary laundry bleach to clean their toilet bowls, which is not enough to kill all toilet germs."
It is time to make yourself involve. On November 13, 2015, join the One Million Clean Toilets Movement in the fight against disease causing germs to save lives as part of the World Toilet Day. Don't let another day be taken away from your child by these vicious germs.
Spread this awareness video and encourage people to get on with the cleanliness train.
We can start with One Clean Toilet at a time and slowly turn the world in to a much better place.

ReplyDeleteI am one with you Ms.Rochelle and DOMEX.. Let's all fight diseases by having
CLEAN TOILETS in our own home. Actually, I am using DOMEX in cleaning our comfort room, so I think I am using the proper cleaning agent. :-)
Everyone should work on this so our family especially our children will be safe and if possible free from deadly diseases! :-)
