PRODUCT REVIEW: Watsons Glutathione and Milk Thistle + Alpha Lipoic Acid Capsule
Last year, Watsons launched its own brand of high quality and affordable generics medicines- Watsons Generics.
One of the products I received in the press kit was the Glutathione and Milk Thistle + Alpha Lipoic Acid Dietary Supplement.
Glutathione
According to WebMD:
People take Glutathione by mouth for
• treating cataracts
• treating glaucoma
•preventing aging
• treating or preventing
○ alcoholism
○ asthma
○ cancer
○ heart disease (atherosclerosis and high cholesterol)
○ hepatitis
○ liver disease
○ diseases that weaken the body’s defense system (including AIDS and chronic fatigue syndrome)

○ Parkinson’s disease
• Glutathione is also used for maintaining the body’s defense system (immune system)
• and fighting metal and drug poisoning.
Milk Thistle
Milk thistle is used most often for liver disorders, including liver damage caused by chemicals, Amanita phalloides mushroom poisoning, jaundice, chronic inflammatory liver disease, cirrhosis of the liver, and chronic hepatitis. Nevertheless, researchers have not yet concluded with certainty that milk thistle is effective for any of these uses.

Alpha-lipoic acid is also used to treat eye-related disorders, such as damage to the retina, cataracts, glaucoma, and an eye disease called Wilson’s disease.
My Experience using Watsons Glutathione and Milk Thistle + Alpha Lipoic Acid Capsule
Before Glutathione in Asia became associated with whiter skin, it was first and foremost known as an antioxidant. When it comes to the whitening effect of Glutathione, I didn't notice any changes on my skin tone or visible result on anything, in fact I felt like my skin became a bit darker but probably because I was out in the sun almost all day everyday while taking these capsules.
Overall, I just love all the benefits I learned from taking these supplement. It's a generic supplement from Watsons that is affordable. I have already finished one box (30 capsules).
I will buy again and continue using this product.

On my second week of using the product, naglabasan pimples ko sa cheek which is very unusual to me. And I dont know if its related but I also experienced having diarhea.

ReplyDeleteAccording to my doctor it should be your weight in pounds plus 0. So if it's 160lbs it should be 1600mg per day. So therefore 3capsules per day.
Delete2 caps a day. 1 in morning 1 in night. But its best to take it in the morning with vit c to boost the effect of gluta

ReplyDeletei stopped using this product cause I had generalized pruritus. im quite surprised coz ive been using gluta for quite some time now and this is the only glutathione that had cause me allergic reaction. im guessing its the milk thistle that made me itch.

DeleteWow, that's good. I want to try a cheap glutathione supplement from a trusted brand, not for its whitening effects, but primarily for its antioxidant properties as Im a drinker.
DeleteGlutathione helps me to become white and it cleanses my liver. It takes some budget for me but i don't care because it helps me to become nourish and confident because of the effect of using glutathione :)

DeleteI just took this product for a month. Dko nakita ang result nya because generic lang siya. I recommend snow caps dagdag ka lang ng 10 pesos per capsule. Kita agad 2 mos after ng paginom mo kahit once a day lang pagtake mo na may kasama vit c.

ReplyDeleteIts 40.50 pesos per piece. Pwede naman siya bilhin per pc sa watsons :) alam ko mas makakamura ka pag box. Dko lang sure if how much. Nagshift kasi ako ng snow caps. 50.50 pesos each tapos per box is 1493 pesos

ReplyDeleteI just finished taking 30 capsules. I do not see any change in my skin. If you have acid reflux, do not take this one. I also had pimple break outs days after taking this supplement. Again, it is your choice.
ReplyDeleteTry other gluta caps like cosmo skin or snow caps. Case to case basis kasi. For me di ko kita yung results oag ito ginamit ko so i try other product like snow caps.

Deleteafter akong manganak hirap akong mag bawas.ayaw kunamang uminom ng kahit na anong gamot kaya nag hanap ako ng mga antioxidant na supplement nag try ako nitong product nato. super happy ako sa result kasi pag iinom ako before matulog kinabukasan ang dami kung nalalabas na dumi. at ang Sarap ng tulog ko kaya ang gaan sa pakiramdam.😊

ReplyDeletei had this experience na parang, nanghihina ka, upon taking nung gluta plus collagen, parang bigla akung nagutum agad, ung as in na gutom,. unang take ko plang nun. i bought it from watsons.
ReplyDeleteTingin ko it's really effective naman. Kasi nag glow skin ko,and Ang puti ko nahalata ko naman. Kita Naman talaga sya sa skin. First palatandaan ko Kasi ung napaso ako mg cooking oil syempre umitim sya,then ung NG take ako one morning, and one night time, after one box kita ko na pumuti talaga. Lumalabo ung mark, second box ko Tig Isa cap per day nalang every night. Pang seven packs ko na ito. This all I can say base on my experience.
ReplyDeleteBeen using the product for a monthn now. I take 2 tablets a day. It smoothens my skin a little pero pumuti? Wala pa baka after prolong use pa. Tho kaya pala naging matakaw ako gawa ng milk thisle. Kaya ang binili ko ngayon ay glutha + collagen lang. I expect to see a whiten result after 3 months pag wala pa rin might chabge brand.
