Summer Monde Mamon-It-Yourself Bonding time with the kids.
Summer is a time for some relaxation and fun,
especially for the kids. I'm
constantly looking for activities that my children can do during the
summer. However, I always find the ones that they usually don’t enjoy. As
life just zooms by, I feel like I don’t get as much time as I would like to
have. I want to make sure the time we spend together is fun and engaging for all
of us.
This summer, I found a new way to get to your family's soft spot. Monde Mamon-It-Yourself.
Last April 5, 2014, the kids and I went to
Yardstick at the Universal LMS building in Makati for the Monde Summer
Mamon-It-Yourself
Cappuccino makes a perfect combination with the
Monde Special Mamon.
Monde Special Mamon is made with real fresh eggs, imported wheat
flour and milk. Baked to be delicious!
The top of a Monde Special Mamon is like a mini-canvas, ready for
the artist in you and your child, to paint on.
Enjoy Monde Special Mamon with your favorite toppings! Mangoes,
Grapes, Kiwi, Cheese, and Strawberries.
You
can put some icing on top.
More of your familiar favorites, Monde Nissin snacks, can also be
chosen for your toppings.
Monde Mamon-It-Yourself is
the best form of art. It will help develop your child's inner skills and
creativity.
Delamar Arias, a mother
and also a DJ of Monster Radio RX 93.1, hosted the event.
Genevieve Dela Pena, Media and Public Relations Manager at Monde
Nissin Corporation welcomed and shared us her childhood memories. She said that
making something together could be a habit and tradition. She also shared that
her mother made sure that activities together is a time well spent with family.
Chef
Mitchie Sison showed us her way to prepare and also taught us some decorating
tips.
We also learned how to make frosting and how to apply it on the
Mamon.
Chef Mitchie Sison shared her analogy; frosting is like putting on
makeup. You can beautify it, or make it more elegant. You can make it pretty or
creamy.
Decorating can be a very therapeutic activity that can help
relieve some stress. I love decorating Monde Special Mamon because it has a flat and even base. Perfect, if
you want to be creative with your toppings.
We were taught how to
frost our Mamon with a piping bag. It was very easy and the techniques were
very helpful.
Kids are on summer vacation so this is can be the
perfect bonding moment that you can have. Who doesn't love something that is
sweet, has frosting, color, and texture?
The
design choices are endless, from simple and fun, to truly elegant.
An appealing way to have
your kids enjoy creating topping on their mamon.

Grace Barbers-Baja, like
me, she's also a loving and hands-on mother to three children.
I am such a big fan of
her blog and on this event she shared us some recipes and tips on what to
decorate with our Mamon. She showed us how to make the Mamon healthier.
She also talked about how she grew up eating mamon. She remembered
that her mom sends her mamon as a snack.
The first recipe she showed us is, how to make Peanut Butter
Banana Mamon that is healthier and Mamon Ensaymada.
and her very own what
she called "Spoiled Mummy Mamon" using everything she loves,
Chocolate and Strawberry.

Our Family's Masterpiece
Decorating a mamon is fun;
it’s also incredibly rewarding and can be an educational experience for my children.
Mamon-It-Yourself encourages creativity and is a great way for children to learn how
to express them. Seeing what they've created creates a huge sense of
achievement for the child. This is a positive way to build confidence with
their abilities and promote healthy self-esteem.
We took home this scrumptious decorating kit that
includes everything we need to decorate our favorite Monde Special Mamon at
home, so we can share the fun with family and friends! Making homespun memories
has never been easier with Monde Mamon-It-Yourself.
The day was special as it is but Monde just put the icing on top when
they showed us a surprise video dedicated to moms. The video showed our kids
dedicating a special message for us (mothers who attended the event). That
night my kids surprised me with a big hug, a kiss, and another message
"Super Love you, mama!" I guess it shows how much they enjoyed being
with me at the event.

Wow! What ba cool way to bond with your children! I have always love MONDE mamon! Even my sister is also a fan! I hope we'll be able to make frostings using MONDE mamon too!

ReplyDeleteI like all the variants MONDE can offer... but upon reading your article I can personally say that seeing you and your Boys spend that wonderful time is what I like most.. I am caught with that smiles and wish that if ever I am given a chance to have my own kids in the future I would definitely do the same... As what I learned from church, our KIDS/Children will most likely remember the experiences when we were with them, than the things we give them.. truly this moment with "MAMON-IT-YOURSELF" from MONDE is one of the treasured experience your little prince have...

ReplyDeletewe always buy MONDE MAMON everytime we go to grocery .. its so fluffy and delicious ... bumibili kami ng seperate na pang decorate because sometimes we made also our cake ^_^ and kasama na ang MONDE MAMON sa pagdedecor ko..

For me, this is really an opportunity to spend quality time with our kids. And I'm sure through this, it will help not only our kids but we, the parents, to also discover our creativity within us. :)

I love the plain Monde Mamon and my husband too, we pair them with coffee. Kids love them for baon. I didn't know they can be transformed into fabulous cupcakes too!
