DiabetEASE Presents Sweet Escape Sugar Crush Living the Sweet Life ♥
Diabetes awareness event held at Trinoma
Arm individuals with knowledge, products to combat disease.
DiabetEASE magazine recently held the third edition of the Sweet Escape series, an event that promotes diabetes awareness, last November 12, at the Trinoma Activity Center.
Titled "Sugar Crush" the event aimed to inform individuals about ways to combat and prevent diabetes and pre-diabetes, through various activities and lectures.
Dr. Lermah Bunoy, from the Philippine Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism, kicked off the event with a lecture titled Diabetes and Your Health. This was followed by a talk from members of the Philippine Association of Diabetes Educators (PADE), and a Quick Fit Aero Workout courtesy of Slimmers World. There were also product segments which introduced the latest gadgets, to help individuals manage their health.
Capping off the afternoon was the launch of DiabetEASE's 8th anniversary issue, featuring Azkals mainstays Phil and James Younghusband. The two actively pursue a healthy lifestyle for their football career, and from having lost their mother from diabetes complication in 2011.

DeleteMy lola died of diabetes.. that is why medyo mindful kami sa sugar intake. Buti nalang wala akong sweet tooth..di ako masyado nagki-crave sa sweets.. matikman ko lang masaya na ako. Problem is hubby...grabe makakain ng sweets, sometimes, pinagtataguan ko na ng food.. hehehe. Sabi nga, it is all about moderation.
ReplyDeleteUu ako din my father in law died because of diabetes kaya medyo talaga kailangan be careful and eat sweets in moderation. Ako pa naman mahilig sa sweets lalo na sa chocolates. Asawa ko may history of diabetes medyo need nya mag cut down sa softdrinks and white rice. Pero buti di siya mahilig sa sweets
Deletehealth is wealth! :) people should start to get health conscious and slowly stop those smoking and drinking habits ^^ its true. healthy is now delicious! :D
